Very nice…now how do I fix it?

Yahoo! TV

I just noticed that Yahoo TV recently improved their channel listings to be much flashier (AJAXier really) and more useful than it used to be. That’s all well and good…but how do I fix them? My location settings are set to Ithaca NY Digital Cable when I need them to be Raleigh Broadcast, but I can’t find a single place where I can specify this again. The listings are completely useless to me if I can’t specify where I’m actually watching TV.

B+ for looks (it’s a little busy and ad-laden, but what else is new?), C+ for execution

EDIT: Turns out it’s a bug with something in their CSS and Safari, because it looks just fine in Gecko browsers. Boo.

Areas of My Expertise audiobook, available for free

good evening: CATEGORY: SELF DEVELOPMENT

So about a month ago I bought the audiobook “the Areas of My Expertise” by John Hodgman from Amazon.com. Back then, I bought it rather than the paper version because I wanted to hear John Hodgman read it as that is half of his comedic appeal to me.

Well, I’m only mildly annoyed today, because now the audiobook is free on iTunes for a “limited time only,” and I highly recommend it. Just makes me feel like a bit of a sucker for buying the actual CD :\

Verizon Doesn’t Know Difference Between Dollars And Cents – Consumerist

This Verizon CR is struggling so hard to understand the concept of a decimal placement. :)

D’oh

Someone just posted a comment (a legitimate one even! not spam!) and I accidentally just deleted it because I thought I had to confirm it, but I was actually at the “delete” screen. Whoops :(
